Felix House

Our home is spread across the left and right of the building consisting of two floors. Each side includes three en-suite bedrooms, a lounge, a kitchen and a spacious shared bathroom with a bath. Each wing also features its own snug, access to the outdoors, and a laundry area where children and young people can develop essential life skills.

A brand new kitchen for all young people and staff to gather, learn how to cook and enjoy their meals in a homely environment.

With two lounges throughout the home, they are a place to unwind, relax and enjoy a movie or show in a comfortable and cosy room.

A quieter kitchen environment for children and young people to learn necessary cooking skills on a one to one basis with a staff member.

A fully equipped laundry room with washing machines and dryers provides children and young people with the opportunity to develop important life skills.

We have six spacious, fully furnished bedrooms, each featuring a large bed, a television and a private en-suite.

In our Key Stage 2 classroom, we have prioritised comfort and flexibility to support our students' needs. We offer a variety of seating options so that each pupil can choose what feels most comfortable for them. Additionally, we have designed a sensory snug area that is available for both students and staff to use whenever necessary. The classroom also provides direct access to an outdoor break-out space, which features a chalkboard and a regulation board to enhance learning and relaxation.

Our Key Stage 3 classroom is designed with the students in mind. We have a sensory regulation corner to aid the children’s sensory needs, with options to use sensory devices at their desks to aid learning. Additionally, the classroom provides direct access to an outdoor breakout space, which features a chalkboard and a regulation board to enhance learning and relaxation. 

Our Key Stage 4 classroom is a bright space with easy access to the garden for flexible learning. Designed to provide the older students with a comfortable and personalised environment.

We have a dedicated library and computing space within the school to provide students with access to a rolling change of both online reading material and physical books. This classroom welcomes natural light and space which allows our older students to complete independent study and research in a calming space.

A bright and open room that comes with soft furnishings, sensory mat and view of the garden to help our students to self regulate whenever they need time in a less stimulating environment.

We have two dedicated outdoor spaces for the children and young people. Artificial lawn with patio area and decking to utilise outdoor dining opportunities. We have wooden gazebos available centrally on the lawn alongside a large swing.
